I teach structured improvisation individually, in duets, group workshos and i also worked as a teacher of jazz improvisation for students of classical music at the music Academy in Ljubljana. Some issues I work on:

• strong focus on time control (early enough decision making, orientation within the bar, four bars, longer periods)
• relative and absolute understanding of notes (understanding the harmonic structures and scales)
• visualisation of the fingerings
• story telling (through the architecture of the rhythm)
• technique of sound production of the right hand
• great vocabulary of the folk music for improving improvisation
• using pop/rock riffs for understanding melodic tensions
• bowing patterns (dances of the right hand)
• creating rhythm with melody only
